Fullscreen view

The international cycling race Giro d’Italia in Nesebar is structured in two clearly defined parts – a neutral start (zero kilometer) and a competitive section.

The neutral start represents a loop within the Old Town and has a purely promotional character. It is designed as a visually impactful opening that will present the cultural and historical heritage of  Nesebar to an international audience through broadcasts on leading sports television channels.
At approximately 1:50 PM, the ceremonial lap of  Nesebar will start from the North Large Parking Area. The teams will proceed towards the Old Town gates via “Zhana Chimbuleva” Street, continue along “Mesambria” Street to the “Yana Laskova” Community Center, then move along “Tsar Ivan Asen II” Street, turn onto “Glarus” Street, continue on “Emona” Street and at the “Lozarska Kashta” area pass onto “Neptun” Street, “Kraybrezhna” Street and again onto “Zhana Chimbuleva” Street, reaching the isthmus. Crossing the isthmus, they will continue into the New Town of Nesebar via “Han Krum” Street and then along “Parva” Street to the so-called Kilometer Zero, located beyond the city stadium.

After the official start is given at Kilometer Zero, the cyclists will continue along “Parva” Street in the direction of the “Chuchura” restaurant. At the “Kameliya” intersection, they will turn towards the ring road and proceed to the Ravda roundabout and onwards to Burgas.
