From August 24 to 29, Nesebar will host another sporting event – the International Children’s Football Tournament “Nessebar Cup 2026”. The competition will be held for the 28th time, bringing together more than 600 children from around 60 teams from Belarus, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine, who will compete in skill, talent and footballing ability. The sporting event covers all age groups – from children born in 2010–2011 to those born in 2018–2019.
“The timing of the tournament at the end of August is ideal for pre-championship preparation for the Bulgarian Football Union’s 2026–2027 autumn season championships, which makes it so highly sought after,” says chief organizer Vladimir Stoyanov. The event is held with the support of the Bulgarian Football Union and Nesebar Municipality, and the matches will be played at the stadiums in Nessebar, Ravda and Kableshkovo.
“The ‘Nessebar Cup’ tournament is another opportunity for young football talents to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience on the pitch. Nessebar Municipality supports initiatives that encourage the development of young people and teach them discipline, sportsmanship and a love for an active lifestyle,” says Nessebar Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov.
