This year, the European Night of Museums will be celebrated on May 16 (Saturday). All museums in the Burgas Region will take part in the initiative. Admission to the museums will be free of charge. At the initiative of the Regional Historical Museum of Burgas, the European Night of Museums in the Burgas Region will be held in support of the candidacy of the city of Burgas for the title of European Capital of Culture 2032.
The Museum of Ancient Nesebar will open the exhibition “New Archaeological Discoveries from the Territory of Nesebar Municipality – Secrets of Antiquity Beneath the Layers of Time” at the Archaeological Museum at 6:00 p.m.
The archaeologists leading the excavations will deliver public lectures and present interesting moments from the archaeological research to visitors. The Archaeological Museum will remain open to visitors until midnight.
